The “Comodo Hacker” has uploaded one of the SSL certificates fraudulently acquired from Comodo in an effort to convince doubters that the hack is legitimate, reports v3.co.uk.
A single Iranian hacker has claimed responsibility for the security breach. The same hacker has posted a Mozilla add-on certificate, along with a brutal attack on those who still don’t believe that a single individual was solely responsible for the attack.
Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has launched a probe into how the attacker was able to pull off the breach. CNET News quotes Comodo CEO Melih Abdulhayoglu as saying:
We’re letting the government agencies handle the issue and figure out what exactly has happened here.
